The Bay Area International Children’s Film Festival Jan 28-29


The Bay Area International Children’s Film Festival (BAICFF), organized by BPC Parent Lisa Fitzgerald (6th) will take place on January 28 & 29 at the restored art deco movie theater at the Alameda Naval Air Station. The program includes award-winning feature length and short independent films from around the world. Children, and children at heart, will engage their imaginations with eye-popping animation, amazing documentaries, and stories that tackle important issues from a kids-eye view.  

BAICFF also offers unique, hands-on filmmaking workshops with professional animators.   Space is limited.  All tickets provide access to multiple films. Choose half-day, full-day or weekend passes. Discounted tickets as low as $8 are available until January 13.

How can I buy tickets and how much do they cost?
Tickets can be bought online by visiting www.baicff.com or at the door of the event.

Early purchase prices are discounted until January 13:
Half-day:           $8
Full-day:           $12
Weekend:         $15

After January 13 ticket prices:
Half-day:            $10
Full-day:             $15
Weekend:          $20

Are the films appropriate for all ages?
The morning shorts and feature films are geared toward children of all ages.  The afternoon films are more appropriate for ages 6 and up.

If this is an all-day event, will there be any food on site?
Yes, local vendors with an international selection of food will be at the film festival selling lunch and snacks all day for both days.

How old does my child have to be to take a workshop and how do I sign up?
The workshops are for children ages 6 and up.  When you purchase tickets online, you can buy a ticket package. Festival tickets are on sale now for a discounted price. Return to the online ticket site on January 9 to buy your workshop ticket.

How do you get to the theater where the film festival takes place?
